South Petherton · Somerset
A landscape-led residential development creating 40 new homes.
Silver Rise has been shaped through an iterative design and planning process, balancing new homes with landscape, ecology and the character of its setting.
The scheme demonstrates YLP’s approach to development: identify the opportunity, assemble the right team and work through the detail required to create a deliverable planning proposition.
Wythall · Birmingham
One of the first major residential schemes in the country to secure planning permission at appeal as grey belt.
Houndsfield Gardens is a 50-home development at Wythall. Following refusal at local level, YLP pursued the scheme through the appeal process, responding to a changing national planning policy landscape and making the case for the site as grey belt.
The appeal was allowed, establishing consent for a scheme incorporating new homes, open space, ecology and a community asset.
Alongside these schemes, YLP has interests in further land opportunities at earlier stages of the development process.

YLP is actively seeking land and development opportunities where there is a credible route to creating value.
We don’t pursue opportunities simply because they look attractive on paper. We look closely at planning, technical, commercial and delivery considerations from the outset, so that the likely opportunities, constraints and challenges are understood before a deal is structured.
Where we believe a site can be delivered, we work with landowners and partners to agree a structure that reflects the reality of the opportunity — aligning expectations from the beginning rather than relying on promises that may prove difficult to fulfil.
